Woodvale is the personal venture of Kilikanoon’s Kevin Mitchell and his wife, Kathleen Bourne. It’s Clare to a T "fresh, bright and vibrant with an attractive mix of red and darker fruits. Cracking value" writes Ken Gargett, Wine Pilot, who also tells us that Springs Gardens was the name of the farm of Tom Duke, winemaker Kevin Mitchell’s great grandfather. He gives it 92pts as does Jane Faulkner in The Halliday Wine Companion who notes: "No shortage of anything here, from the rich flavours to the tannins. It has come together well".
