The Langhorne Creek region is one of South Australia’s oldest wine regions. Its history is littered with colourful characters, none more so than the region’s namesake, Alfred Langhorne, who earned the nickname 'The Liar’ for his extreme economy with the truth. Though he couldn't be trusted in business, he definitely had an eye for top-notch grape-growing areas.
