Redheads Moonlighters Shiraz 2021

RedHeads is a terrific, eco winery based in the Barossa Valley – solar-powered and big on water reuse, with a reservoir in the grounds to catch the scarce rainwater. They are great mates with some of the best growers in the premium regions of South Australia, so have access to some of the finest parcels of grapes. ‘Moonlighters’ captures the very essence of the RedHeads concept. Right at the beginning, when RedHeads started in the McLaren Vale, a handful of dedicated, rule-breaking, young winemakers, with a day job at the big corporations, would arrive at RedHeads studio early evening, down a cold beer, then start on crafting a ‘real’ wine, with unbridled passion. The team is always on the lookout for small batches that need a home. The blend changes each year but the result is always moreish.
