Common Ground Coonawarra Chardonnay 2022

Common Ground is a label used from time to time by Sam Brand of Brand & Sons for special projects and/or collaborations with different growers and other wineries. The Brand family have always felt intrinsically linked to the the Coonawarra Terra Rossa, and Sam uses this label in an effort to acknowledge the unique partnership of the land and those who work on it – and the balance necessary to keep the land in good health. Often overlooked for its premium white wines, Coonawarra benefits from the warm summer days and cool-nights of the region, with summer heat helping to ripen the fruit and the crisp nights locking in the flavour. This is a delight with notes of green apple, nectarine and stone-fruits, on the nose with a creamy vanilla and cashew touch. Stone fruit and citrus flavours flow through the palate, with some round creamy texture balanced with acidity which holds the finish.
