This year marks the 60th anniversary of The Australian newspaper. To honour this significant milestone, The Australian has collaborated with some of the Barossa’s best winemakers to release a first-of-its-kind 60th Anniversary Issue Barossa Shiraz.Only 1,000 cases of this history making limited edition Shiraz will be released. Each bottle is individually numbered and features one-of-six personality-packed labels depicting many of the Prime Ministers of the past six decades – illustrated by The Australian’s Editorial Cartoonist Johannes Leak. The winemakers behind our exceptional Anniversary Issue Shiraz turned to Barossa growers from both hill and valley. Rich and inviting aromas of spiced plum, blackberry and star anise leap out of the glass.
