Wine Summary
The Dragonfly Cabernet Merlot is an expression of the deep dark fruit characters attained from the Ferguson Valley wine region, rich and smooth with lashings of chocolate. The vineyard is 25km from the coast as the crow flies, and receives the cooling afternoon sea breeze during summer. At an elevation between 230 and 280 meters, the estate is generally two degrees or more cooler than the coastal plain, with ripening times similar to the cool southern parts of the neighbouring Margaret River wine region. Blackcurrant, blackberry and mulberry aromas lift from the glass, with a touch of milk chocolate, tomato leaf and spice. Palate is packed with fruit (blackberry, boysenberry and blackcurrant) with crisp, juicy acidity and hints of anise and bay leaf.

Wine Summary
Forest Hill's 94pt Highbury Fields Shiraz 2020 ”Shows how good this vintage was in the Great Southern" (Ray Jordan). The wine was sourced from the estate's vineyards at Forest Hill, Mount Barker East and the northern Frankland River. Pressed to Burgundian oak ranging in size from 225L to 600L with less than 10% new. 10 months maturation before final blending and bottling. Dark fruit aromas and flavours pour forth here: plums and blackberries, with vanilla, liquorice, aniseed and spice. Medium-bodied but dense with firm tannins. Maritime freshness and juicy fruit flavours sum up what makes WA Shiraz well worth getting to know. "… beautiful, flowing fruit. 93pts. Great Value” (Erin Larkin, Halliday Wine Companion).

Wine Summary
This classic Single Vineyard McLaren Vale Grenache is from family-owned Patritti, a 5-Star winery founded in 1926. The historic winery is located just 12km from Adelaide’s city centre, on a suburban street in Dover Gardens. The Section 181 is a full-bodied expression of Grenache, hand-picked and matured in French oak for extra spiciness and complexity. Aromas of red fruits, vanilla and spice lead to a palate of sweet dark cherries, clove and pepper. It walks the line between stalky green and ripe red confectionery notes. Delve into it on its own or with Chinese roast duck.

Wine Summary
In 1974, Sydney Hamilton, who already had enjoyed a celebrated winemaking career, bought land in Coonawarra in order to produce classic Coonawarra Cabernet on the famed terra rossa soils here. He named his estate after an ancestor of his from England, Lord Leconfield, and did indeed build a huge reputation not only for his Cabernet Sauvignon, but Cabernet Franc and Merlot too. This outstanding 2021 release has won a Trophy, Gold and scores of 95 and 92. It's a delight. "Deep and bright red-purple colour, with a bouquet of humus and tobacco, a hint of green-olive, the palate full of sweet, ripe and quite luscious fruit, beautifully framed by fine tannins and impeccably balanced. Long carry; high cellaring potential. A cracking Merlot and great value for money" (Huon Hooke, The Real Review).

Wine Summary
Allegiance Wines was founded by Tim Cox, whose love of wine and allegiance to the grape has seen him create a range of outstanding (and critically acclaimed) wines from premium regions around the country. For him, it’s all about producing the highest quality wines from premium parcels of fruit he sources. This Reserve level Cabernet Sauvignon illustrates beautifully Coonawarra affinity for Cabernet. Sauvignon “…the bouquet has a touch of eucalypt forest-floor, violet and ginger…” Show judges and Sam Kim are fans too: “Exhibiting stunning fruit purity with elegant complexity, the wine shows blackcurrant, tobacco, cured meat and cedar characters on the nose. The palate is equally impressive with excellent concentration and persistency, splendidly framed by fine, grainy tannins, making it firmly structured and robust, yet silky and lingering. 95pts.” (Sam Kim, Wine Orbit).

Wine Summary
We’re thrilled to introduce the second vintage of Ruth’s Block Shiraz – a fine Barossa Shiraz made exclusively for us. Selected from the estate's Ebenezer vineyard, named in honour of the late Ruth Miles, mother of Peter Miles and wife of Brian Miles. As our buyer said on the wine's creation, “Having a winery the calibre of Irvine make a wine just for us is a big deal. Mostly because they don’t need to. They already sell everything they make. So when Irvine agreed, it was mostly because they like us.” It’s nice to be liked! And it means some exceptional wines for you – at extraordinary prices. Like this one right here. Irvine Estate is home to Barossa vineyards that date back to 1867. The estate is famous for its majestic Merlot but Irvine Estate is sending ripples around the industry with its old-vine Shiraz as well. Indeed, Irvine took home the Trophy for 'Best Barossa Shiraz' at the Barossa Valley Wine Show in 2017, ahead of BIG Barossa names like Teusner, Grant Burge, Peter Lehmann, St Hallett and Thorn-Clarke!
